Injury settlement

How long after the settlement do they send the check to the atty and me? Or how long do they have before they have to send?

generally, it is 20 days -- BUT, it depends on what you agreed to in settling the case.

There is no law as to how long a party has to send a settlement payment. Having said that, payments are usually sent within a very short period of time. You should discuss this with your attorney. If there is an unusually long period, your attorney can take action to enforce the terms of the settlement.
