Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

I have a judgement against me and it was assigned or sold to someone else. I currently make the agreed monthly payments on this judgement. However recently I received a letter that my wages would be garnished for double the amount I owe because I missed a payment last September. I don't mind paying off the judgement but I do mind having my wages garnished for twice the amount I owe. What are my resources here, if I have any?

I think you may have misread the letter. Odd that they would garnish you for one missed payment. I assume. You made up that payment. If not, you are one payment behind since September.

If they have a judgment against you , they can proceed to a garnishment of a portion of your salary. You may be entitled to certain exemptions. Suggest you call them.

Your agreement to pay the amounts indicated is in writing? That agreement controls your rights and obligations. Not sure what you mean with regard to twice judgment amount. Do you mean twice the agreement amount? You need to contact an attorney with your paperwork
