If a neighborhood child goes in my back yard, after I told my boy NO. And my dog jumps up and hurts the child, am I responsible for the medical bills? I have no house insurance. Police came but no report was filed at all. Animal control also came

If you did not tell the neighbor child no, and you had no posted "beware of dog" signs, then you are likely responsible for the injuries to the child. How did the child get into your backyard? If there was a dog, was there also a fence? I would need more information. Has your dog ever hurt anyone before?
