Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

Notice of Hearing received

I owe someone money. I received a Notice of Hearing Summons and it is almost impossible for me to attend hearing as it is out of state. Called judges assistant and was told to try to work things out w/plaintiff. He will not respond to my emails. If I go to court, I will agree to owing money. Will I be forced to pay him back or to make payments at that time? Wouldn't it be better for him to work it out with me prior to court date? What can I do? Thank you.

Suggest you speak with a local attorney in Florida who can try to work something out for you in court.
