Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

property damage

The upstairs condo toilet overflowed and damaged my ceilings carpeting and some of my record collection. I do not have homeowner insurance. The owner of the condo says she wants me to have my insurance conpany talk to hers. She says since i dont have insurance she is not responsbile for anything. I need help please

YOu need an attorney to argue that you are not responsible and you are due money from the landlord's insurance if he had any for your contents.
