Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

My property backs up to the florida turnpike. About 6 months ago the turnpike was maintaining the area behind my fence. While doing so, about 30 slats in my fence were damaged. I contacted the turnpike, who referred me to the contractor they use. The contractor came and took one of my slats so that it could be properly matched. I have called repeatedly, but have not yet received any satisfaction. I now have a dented fence with a missing slat. I would appreciate any advice you can give me as to what steps I should take. Thank you.

You or your attorney should write a claim letter to the contractor. Next would be a lawsuit. Good luck.
