Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

subpeona regulations

I received a subpeona for my brother and my girlfriend. Do they have to show up in court if I was served and not themselves?

Re: subpeona regulations

Assuming that they live with you and that you are over 15 years old then service was proper. Regardless of service you have the subpoenas and have told them about them so why would they not go? If they have something to hide or are concerned about someone then they or all three of you should talk to a lawyer before going to court. But if they just don't show up they can be held in contempt of court and thrown in jail.
