Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida
My wife was in a car accident in 2008. We filed a lawsuit I was named on it for 100,000. The lawsuit was settled on September 15 2015 for 700,000. I was told I need to sign papers before any body gets there money. Her lawyer told me in not getting any of her lost wages. I spoke to my divorce attorney and he told me that I'm in title to have because it is marital assets. I would like to know my options before I sign the paper. Thank you. We got divorced in Florida.
