Legal Question in Insurance Law in Florida

Do i have a legal case against this insurance company,as well as my previous emp

i was employed at my former job for 10 years.i was jumped back in november 02,and after seeing several dr's i had to have surgery(c5-c6 cervical fusion)this was done on 03/03.)my employer's insurance company was paying short term dissability.when the short term diss ran out,they(the ins. co denied me long term dissability benifts,even with 4 letters from the same neuro-surgeon who had performed the operation stating that i could not return back to work,and why.i appealed the insurance company's descision,and before they had ruled on it i got a call from m employer stating that''because trhe ins co. had yet to make a decision on my claim that i was being terminated.too top it all off i am now scheduled to go in for my 2nd cervical fushion on 02/18/04.thats 2 operations in less than 12 months!i also need to have a lower lumbar fushion done,but not until i heal from my up-coming surgery.i have not recieved any income whatsoever since 03/27/03,which is the date my short term dissability ended.i appreciate your comments or suggestions,and appologize for the length of my question.

You failed to indicate the status of your appeal & whether you are represented by an attorney. You certainly should be.
