If you do not go they will ask judge for a court order to compel you to appear. Call them. They should pay for your expenses, if any.

A subpoena is a direction from the Court for you to appear as a witness. If you cannot appear on the date indicated, than reach out and change it. if you don't appear, you can be compelled by a Court to appear.
