Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

Need help in Aventura

Hi,

I work at Miami Children's Hospital where I have been employed for eleven years.Some of the doctors as well as some of the fellow coworkers are rude and abusive and abnoxious. In the eleven years I have been here I had to take Two leave of absenses due to the mental stress. I was even hospitalized one of the two times. DO I have any sort of basis for some kind of lawsuit. I no longer enjoy working here and cant stand seeing some of the abusive employees. Please let me know.... Thank You.

Unfortunately, "rude" and "obnoxious" behavior is not, in and of itself, illegal. However, the law does prohibit harassment which is sever and pervasive and motivated by a protected characteristic such as age, race, gender, national origin, disability, religion, etc.
