Re: sub contractor payment

Under specific conditions a laborer for a contractor may be entitled to a lien. However, you will need to actually meet with a local construction attorney and present all documents and facts in order to better advise you. You may also have a claim against the Contractor for ujust enrichment, breach of contract, and failure to pay wages - depending on how your wages were structured. Good luck,

Re: sub contractor payment

You may have a claim against the owner of the property where the work was done and you would have a claim against the general contractor who retained you. If you want to proceed you should talk to an attorney to decide what options are best for you. Depending on how you proceed and under what theory you bring your claim, you may also have a right to collect any attorney fees incured in collecting what is owed to you.
