Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

My employer let me go/fired me with the premise that I did not fit in, no complaints on my performance, just not fitting with management. This is a case of employment at will (no contract) at the director level. The separation agreement and general release (severance package) has changed. The second and latest version includes a change not previously discussed. Employer changed Termination of Employment from "employment shall be demmed to have ceased" to "ceased due to Employees voluntary resignation"

I'm wondering, why was this change made without notice. I did not quit, was fired. What consequences could this change have?

IF you quit instead of fired, they can contest your entitlement to unemployment. I would not sign it. For more information on your employee legal rights check out www.takethisjobnshoveitblog.com or www.behrenlaw.com.
