Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

Can my former employer withhold pay from me after a termination? He has claimed that money was lost from the register and requested that I make up the difference from my paycheck. He presented me with no evidence the money was lost on my shift, only on the day I was working.

Probably not but you would likely have to retain a lawyer to send a demand letter and/or sue them for it. How much is owed? If you need to speak further on this issue, feel free to call my office.
