Last pay check?.... Please!?

i quit my job without notice for a number of reasons. i was owed a pay check which would have consisted of 64 hours...however when i contacted my work place they said i could not have my pay check until i called my boss. So it has been two weeks and they are still withholding it until i call. I feel there is not reason for me to talk to her just to get my paycheck. Is she wrong to hold my check till i talk with her??

You should receive your final paycheck in the next regularly scheduled payday after termination. If you have not, write your employer a letter, send it certified mail, and request full payment or else advise them you'll have to retain an attorney. This often does the trick. If it doesn't, consult with a lawyer and feel free to contact us for further assistance.
