Quit

We hired a receptionist that worked for about 10 days before becoming ''sick'' for 5 days. Now she says she starts another job tomorrow and is quitting. No notice but we held her job while she was ''sick''. Do we have to pay her for the 2 days we technically owe her?

The Fair Labor Standards Act requires employers to pay all employees at least minimum wage for all hours worked. Accordingly, you need to pay this employee at least minimum wage for the ten days she provided services.
