unauthorized payroll deductions...

my husband's employer has kep his commission check for damages that he ''supposedly did to a transported car''. what are the legalities of this? what can we do?

Depends o what is in hios employment agreement. It may be perfectly acceptable if that is part of the agreement. If it is not, he needs to complain and take it to management. He can quit. He can sue.
