Unpaid wages

I was employed in the state of Fl for about a month I recently moved back to Ma and my former employer fails to paid for the the last 2 weeks of hours I was residing in Fl have sent e-mails to them and also called them and still have gotten no reply from either source please advice the next steps I should take to collect wages for hours worked

Send them a letter and tell them that if they dont pay you within ten days of your letter, you're going to file a suit against them and will be entitled to recover your your attorneys fees under Florida Statutes 448.08 as well. Then cross your fingers and hope they pay! If they dont, you can file a small claims action, but it will otherwise be difficult and not affordable to hire an attorney (most likely).

Call the Wage and Hour Administration in the MA Attorney General's Office to ask if they can chase a FLA employer. If not, call the Wage and Hour Office in FLA of the Federal Dept of Labor Wage and Hour office.
