Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

I have worked at a law firm for 2 and 1/2 years, out of the total of 5 employees I have worked for the firm the longest. The firm's partners are splitting, one partner is keeping the practice just basically changing the name. I have seniority, have taught 2 of the other employees part or all of their jobs. The remaining partner is keeping the other 4 employees and has stated I will no longer have a job because my salary is too high, however he will be replacing me. Is this legal?

What is your age? It might be age discrimination, but otherwise is probably legal. Feel free to call or e-mail if you wish to discuss further.
