Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

wrongful termination?

A friend of mine filled out an application for a fast food restaurant. Included in his information was that he had a previous felony conviction. He was hired, worked for 2 weeks, then was fired because of the same felony conviction. I heard that in Florida, you can't be fired for the same felony that you were hired on with. Is it true?
