Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

wrongfully terminated ?

After 20 months working for this company I was told that I was to purchase work boots.I asked my boss if the company could reimburse me since I had no money the answer was no.the next day I was written up and sent home for that day for violation of company policy. The day after that I went to the big boss and explained my situation. After trying to find any company policy or handbook (which he could not), he okayed my present shoes and let me work. The next day the big boss approached me and told me that I was indeed in violation that I was to leave work now.He did not want to discuss it and told me that if I did not leave that he would call the police. That day I filed for unemployment.Question; what other options do I have?

Re: wrongfully terminated ?

That is about it as far as options. You probably are not entitled to unemployment benefits because you were terminated for not wearing proper equipment. Unemployment will not kick in for a bit anyway, so start looking for another job.
