Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

I'm fairly young (19-20) and very soft spoken and I've been living in a "studio apartment"/mother-in-law suite for the past 4 months. At first everything was okay. My landlord just had a lot of rules that seemed a little weird and off putting. For example, I'm not allowed to have guests at all or that I have to have the a/c unit set to 76 degrees and it has to be on econ mode. I overlooked it all at first, but since I was injured at work and had no use of my left hand (I use it most things besides writing.) for the last 3 weeks, my mother has been helping me with my daily living.

While I was at work tonight, my mom was at my apartment waiting for me to get off so she could pick me up. She told me that my landlord knocked on the door, my mom ignored it because she was in the bathroom. My dog barked. My mom heard the door open and my dog get instantly quiet and yelp. When she tried to go outside to see who had opened the door, it was blocked. She pushed it open to find my landlord blocking the entrance with her lawnmower.

I got a voice message from my landlord telling me she needed to talk to me immediately and that it was an emergency. When I call her back, after my shift, she started yelling at me for my dog being loose in the apartment after I had told her that he was crate trained. It didn't even dawn on me at the time how she came to know that. It makes me wonder how many other times that she has entered the dwelling while I was out without my knowledge.

She also comes to my door every 1st of the month at 7:00 am to demand rent. If I'm not home, she will call me to ask me where I am and when she will get her money.

Is there anything I can do about it?

Your written lease controls. If you have no written lease, sounds like time to find a new apartment.
