Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

My mom & I did a 4.5 mo vacation rental in Florida. We were impeccably clean & left it in better condition. Today is 45 day and no security deposit nor correspondece. Today, her realtor said she didn't get electric bill but I called the EComoany & it was available weeks ago. Now her dad had health issues & cat has chemo. I Don't forsee getting my security deposit back w/o pressure. What do I do? At 60 days can I get full deposit or double my deposit like Judge Judy says? Thx lisa

Your contract will control your damages. No doubling the deposit likely is going to be allowed. There are attorney's fees which you are entitled to if you have to sue to get your deposit back. Seek some legal guidance.
