Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

I just moved into a apartment complex two months ago and there is a smell of weed coming into my master bathroom vent from my neighbors' apartment. I made several complaints to the leasing office in person and through email. It has been over a month and nothing has been done. I was wondering what legal action could I take against my apartment complex. The smell is so bad, that at times I cannot stay in the bedroom and the smell has made me nauseous.

You may want to look into what's called a "constructive eviction." Please visit my website at www.jcwilliamslaw.com for more information.

Your lease agreement controls and needs to be reviewed. Seek some legal advice with all your paperwork.

It may be that your neighbor has a medical right to the weed. If so, not much that can be done as to the police coming in. You need to have your lease reviewed and then proceed from their. Constructive eviction may be the only option.
