Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

I rented a home in boca raton Florida. After being there for a few weeks I noticed that the kitchen cabinets are rotting and have had mold tests done. 3 seperate types of mold came back. Also the a/c does not work properly. Both toilets are leaking along w/ the refrigerator and there is a pest problem. The landlord has not fixed any of these problems after I have taken pictures and sent him emails documenting the issues. What recourse do I have?

1. If a doctor determines a potential health problem, you can terminate the lease per Florida Statute.

2. You can seek a reduction in rent for lack of services.

The landlord is statutorily required to provide for pest control as well as comply with all building and housing codes.

Assuming you have given the landlord proper notice of his non-compliance with the law and/or your agreement, you may be able to terminate your lease.
