Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

What are my rights as a tenant? Renting a house and landlord isn't keep up with his side of the agreement. There is mold(said he would just paint over it!!) and other issues that have yet to be fixed.

Was given a 3 day notice on my door and the notice had a few mistakes on it. One being the year said 2014 and not 2015. Is that something I should let him know about or is this something that I need to take down to the Clerk of Court office and get some type of notice for?

I have no problem paying the rent. I'm just living in an unsafe situation and want these problems to be fixed. I have asthma and living in a house with tons of mold can't be good!

Your lease agreement controls the rights and responsibilities with regard to clean up. You need to have it reviewed by an attorney. If an eviction is filed, you will need to pay the rental to the court registry to be able to argue the defect in the 3 day notice. Why let it get that far if you can and will pay? Filing an eviction does not give you leverage to get the problems fixed. Seek some legal help
