Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

I signed a document titled RELEASE IN FULL CONFIDENTIALITY AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT awarding me a sum of money in exchange for maintaining the terms of a residential lease confidential. Management has failed to pay and neither they nor their attorney will respond to inquiries in this regard. Do I have same remedies available to me as for Breech of Contract; if not how do I pursue? Additionally, I received a Settlement Statement from Landlord indicating a balance due me as a result of a lease termination. Management has failed to pay and neither they nor their attorney will respond to inquiries in this regard. How to pursue?

First of all - why did you sign a release without funds in hand. It would appear that you were paid and now they will not respond because you released.

However, on a good note. Yes you can sue them for Breach of contract, Fraud and Misrepresentation. I suggest you do so , otherwise you will never get anything. They will have to pay your attonrey fees as well as I am sure they will lose the case.

You can sue in Small Claims Court for up to $5,000.
