Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

My wife told the leasing office she was moving and is going to break the lease. Our lease is up April 23 2018. My name is also on the lease . I can't afford the $1259 a month for me and my 10 year old son to stay. Currently we have nowhere else to go. What, if any legal rights do I have?

Seems you have more to worry about than your legal rights involving the lease. Suggest you have someone review the lease for you. If you need to work something out with the landlord reach out and speak to them about it.

Mr. Stein is correct. However, another point is this, did she tell them she was breaking the lease. They may be thinking that you are also leaving and they may be renting your unit out as we speak.
