Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Florida

I have been employed by my current employer for 2 years. They recently told me that they did not have my Consent for Release of a Background check forms on file and have asked me to sign them now. Is that legal? don't they have to get this prior to employment or at the time of hiring, not 2 years later.

they can ask for it whenever they need it. if you have something to be concerned about I suggest you discuss it with the employer before the report gets requested and comes back with a problem.
