Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Florida

Stopping the spiraling moral decline

Question: How do I propose a law or amendment that address the acceptable lines of human behavior? What format and process must I go through?

I was a teacher for 25 years. I have been in many parent meetings and attempted a parent help program. I am not a highly religious person, but I do believe in a healthy moral culture where elders monitor and raise children. Adult topics should be separate from children topics. TV, Movies and the casualness keeps pushing the line and it is morphing out of control.

The media continues to overexpose our kids to see and accept all sex. Today a news reporter spoke of 2 fifth graders attempting to have sex. It was amazing that this young reporter could not see how this could happen. It is easy many turned their heads and did not step up to the plate. Since this is an epidemic, should and how do we slow the train down?

Can you advise what sounds as a prude but just looking for guidelines for our culture to stay healthy? Otherwise I would be like the majority with their heads in the sand. I am not looking for scriptures to be ''front and center'', just moral discussions to be addressed.

Hi:

I understand your concern. You should check with your local legislator, and also check on the net for other groups that are of the same position.

Good Luck
