Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Florida

Dissension of a family line

In this day of human engineering and experimental genetics, what laws apply if someone would deliberately interfere with a family line, e.g. wrongfully obtain donor sperm or eggs to bear a child by unknowing or unwilling donors? With closed documents etc, and black market efforts, I can see legal nightmares ahead.

Re: Dissension of a family line

Your question is not very specific so I can't really answer what laws apply since you do not have a sprcific question or probelm.

If someone for some strange reason steals sperm from a facility to impregnante someone else (as opposed to getting pregnant the traditional way), the sperm donor has no liability for anything.

I am unaware of any "black market" for sperm. There seems to be an abundance of people who will donate sperm for free in the more traditional route of delivery.
