Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Florida

After having my surgery, I went back for a follow-up. The dr said that everything was fine. A couple of months went by and I started developing problems. No matter what I did, I couldn't get my throat cleared. I went to my family dr, who gave me medication to try and help and he suggested that I go back to the dr that did the surgery. I went back to that dr and he looked in my mouth and told me that my throat was swollen and gave me steroids to take. I took the medication for a few days and I stated getting sick. He had me to come back to his office and he looked at my throat again and stated that it was still swollen and gave me celabrix to take. This made me sick also. I called him back and told him this and he told me to just stop taking the medication. I wasn't satified with that answer. I consulted another specialist and at the first visit he took an instrument and inserted it through my nose to look at my throat. I have some tissue growing on my vocal cords that is too big to treat with medication. I have to have surgery to have that removed. There are other issues, but I'm not sure if I can write it all. Is there any legal action that I can take? Please respond.

Yes, there may be but without more info it is impossible to be specific. It will depend on whether the actions by the last dr should have been done by the first and then if done earlier would it have been possible to avoid surgery again. Please call.
