Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida

To whom it may concern:

I need to know if I have a case, My daughter suffered a bad allergic reaction to her head/scalp/face she to the point where she was brought to the ER becasue she was having difficulty breathing from how swollen her face got. How it happen- My wife brought her to get her hair done for the homecoming dance, my wife specifically told the stylist that my daughter is allergic to hair dye and that we were told they have non-allergictic dyes at this salon. She said yes we do and proceded to color her hair when they agreed on a color. That evening my daughter started to get itchy and it got worse from there. Three days later she is still swollen and very itchie and is now taking steroids. I would like to know if I have a case.

Thank you for your time

Walter

You may have a case if you can relate the hair dye to the condition your daughter has and the hair stylist failed to check the ingredients of the hair dye after she/he was told of the allergic reaction. However, these cases are difficult to pursue, because of cost and shifting the blame to the dye company and or your daughter, unless there are major damages, which hopefully your daughter does not have. I hope your daughter gets well soon.
