Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida

I flew out of Orlando on Feb 28 2014. I checked a suitcase. Upon opening it last night and going through my items I noticed a bandaid stuck to my hand. It has some blood on it. I am now concerned about being exposed to a blood born pathogen. The band aid is not mine and this can clearly be established if necessary as the DNA will not match up. The ONLY way this item ended up in my suitcase is during the security check it received. It should be easy enough for TSA to determine who was working that shift and who has an injury to their finger. I know its a finger injury because the bandaid was still rolled up-so obviously the person was not wearing gloves when they searched my suitcase and it slipped off their finger.

I am concerned about the exposure to possible blood born pathogens. Wondering if I need to address this with OSHA or personal injury attorney

Thank you

Your exposure alone does not make a claim you can pursue. The issue is whether you have a permanent injury due to someone's negligence. the matter would likely come under the Federal Torts Claims Act, which is a complicated procedure for which you would need an attorney. OSHA deals with occupational site problems, and I doubt they will investigate this incident.
