Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida

ihave been a car accident case for 4 years. My laywer has been asking for 1 million dollars and said everything in the case is solid. I went to my deposition and my laywer said it went really bad and that my testomony screwed the whole case up. He doesnt think we are going to get a good offer now. How does my 1 million dollar case go to nothing just from a deposition?

I would have to read your deposition in order to answer. Did you receive a copy?

There are many factors which go into case value. I agree with the premise of your question that going from $1M to $0 seems drastic. Depending on your circumstances, perhaps the valuation was exaggerated. No way to know without case details.

I would want to know circumstances (details) during a consultation and review your deposition transcript to even begin to be able to provide response to a question like this one.

Misrepresenting facts or misstating facts could undermine your case. I suggest you speak to your attorney for a detailed explanation on what happened.
