Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida

Serious Injury

I received a misfilled prescription from a pharmacy. After using the wrong product for 3 days, I developed cysts that became infected. The infection advanced to Septic Shock. five days after using the product I was hospitalized for 10 days, 5 of which I spent in the intesive care unit.

The pharmacy admitted the mistake, but my medical records so far have not noted that I had used this misfilled prescrption prior to my developing the cysts.

What steps do I need to take to prove that the misfilled prescription caused this extremely serious injury?

Re: Serious Injury

You will probably need a written opinion from your doctor stating the causal connection and possibly some medical research starting with the package insert. An attorney's help would be advisable.
