Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida

I owned a condo in Florida that was up for short sale and was empty. I got a call from my property management company one day saying that my toilet leaked and flooded the unit down stairs. The event apparently happened weeks prior. The property management company went into the condo themselves and shut the water off. I wasn't aware until weeks later and I saw no evidence of it when I did go see the condo. Months have gone by and the condo has been sold as a short sale. I have received a Subrogation letter from an attorney that represents the insurance company. What do I do? Can I fight this?
