Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida

if a person gets hurt on your property while working with you, putting up a portable carport and this person is just helping you because he wanted to and he gets hurt badly at his own doings, how long does he ave before time runs out on him sueing you? he got hurt and broke his femur and wrist and was out of commission with out lose of pay because he is retired. he was told several time s not to do what he did to get hurt and did it anyway. is there a time limit? please let me know thanks.
