If I am currently involved in A lawsuit for A personal injury claim and I discharge the attorney that is representing my case befor it is settled what can the attorney that was discharged do.

The discharged attorney will have a lien on your file and may recover the costs incurred and the applicable percentage of the last settlement amount made by the defendant(s) or the reasonable attorney's fees incurred on the file.
