Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida

I was recently in a car accident. I was only lightly injured and the opposing driver escaped without a scratch. The title of my citation was that l did not completely stop at a stop sign before turning left from a small side road onto a heavily crowded street. But l did in fact stop at the stop sign and in fact had to wait there for 4 minutes! A woman in a car that was in one of the right lane on the big road(the lane that was the closest to me) had stopped to not block entry and exit onto the small road. traffic had built up behind her and l waited for the other lane to be open(the big roads inside lane). I leaned forward(in my seat, not with my car) to see if there was anyone coming. I saw CLEARLY that there was not anyone coming. I pulled forward to pass through the two lanes to reach the middle lane where turns could be made. I was then T-boned in my driver door. The man who hit me had to have made an illegal lane change behind the woman. Not only did he make an illegal lane change, but if he had not hit me he would have most certainly illegally blocked the way. There is a Hess gas station near the scene that may have captured this all on film. He is now claiming that he sustained injury. How should l resolve this mess?

Report it to your insurance company and hire a lawyer. If you are trying to take care of this yourself, I am not sure why you would want too.
