Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida

Last year my husband died in a car accident. The accident happened about a hour before police arrived at the scene. I was wondering if I can sue the police department for taking so long to get to the accident.

I'm very sorry to hear about your husband. You haven't provided a lot of detail about what happened. Legally, however, it is unlikely that there is a valid claim against the police department. There may be other claims, though, that you have not considered, such as claims related to the road design, the traffic lights, the repair of the vehicle your husband was in, and claims against various insurance companies. You really need to consult with an attorney who is experienced in this area. We offer a free initial consultation and would be happy to speak with you about what happened.

There is no claim againstthe police for not arriving soon enough. If your husband was not at fault in causing the accident, there may be a claim against the other driver. If you would like additional information, feel free to e-mail or call.
