Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

Buying a house which is currently a vacation home that they are selling and that is available to rent for the week, weekends, etc.... When saw the house it was not rented and ended up putting a contract, putting a deposit and since the owners accepted my offer paid to have a house inspection done to proceed with the process to buy this house. After all this time has gone, as you know is a long process, we are scheduled to finally close on the house next week on Tuesday, August 9, 2016.

Was just notified by my realtor that the closing can not be done because he was told that the company that manages the house for the vacation rentals, which is also the realtor listing agent for the sale of the house, has rented the house and is currently rented.

It is my understanding that when you put a contract to buy a house and you agreed to continue to buy the house after the house inspection is done, the house can not be rented or anything. Is this true or not?

I need to find out as soon as possible how it is and where legally I stand.

I am in Florida.

Originally the owners purchased the home as a primary residence.

Not necessarily true. Without reading your contract , no one can answer properly.

Your contract controls the rights and obligations. that needs to be reviewed by an attorney. You should have had an attorney all along. you have now learned why that is so important.
