Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

I am a U.S citizen, and my father is a visa holder (he has never lived here in the U.S), he will be buying me a house as a gift and putting it in my name. will I be taxed for it? will it be a problem to include in my taxes?

what is the best route to take? Should he give me the money and I pay for it?

You will be taxed if you are listed on the deed. If your father is simply purchasing the home and allowing you to reside in it, then you have nothing to worry about. You need to consult with an attorney for the best route to take and to accomplish your set objectives.
