Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

Can I evict them?

I'm renting a townhouse in

Hillsborough County, FL. I have a

roommate that is listed on the lease

as a tenant, but the lease is in my

name. We made an agreement

that she would have to pay a set

amount every month, but that she

would help me out with bills, due to

her financial issues. Since then, we

are no longer talking and I feel

uncomfortable in my own home. I

no longer want here, but since

there is no written agreement or

financial agreement, is there any

legal way i can ask her to leave, or

since i'm not the landlord, does he

have to? Or is it only up to me

asking her to leave?

Re: Can I evict them?

I'm assuming that the agreement that she'll pay you a set amount every month and help you with bills is not in writing.

If she has a lease that she's not violating, you can ask her to leave, but it's up to her.
