Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

Far-Bar Contract

I would like to know if you can delete a clause in the Far-Bar Contract? IE Letter N. has the word Deleted by it. Isn't this illegal? What is a Fa-Bar as is contract? Do that mean that you are buying the house and everything that need to be repaired you would need to fix like the roof electrical or the plumbing? I am signing a contract tomorrow and the termite inspection(d) and inspection repair and maintenance(n) is missing I need advice on what to do.

Thank you

Re: Far-Bar Contract

Do not sign anything until a lawyer familiar with the contract has reviewed it.

For once I agree with Mr. Slater's response. Don't sign any contract you do not understand.

Yes, virtually anything in the standard contract can be deleted if the parties agree. But should you agree to a contract you do not understand? NO! Usually with an "as is" contract the buyer gets the property as it is, warts and all, but has so many days (specifically stated in the "as is" addendum to the contract) to have the property examined (usually 5-10 days), and if it is not up to his standards, he may get out of the contract. But you are really taking a chance, since you obviously do not know what your proposed contract says.
