Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

The lessee of a rental which I own has a signed lease agreement from 9/1/2014 to 8/31/2015. Recently I received an email from them saying they were leaving the property on 2/28/2015 ,which is 6 months before the lease expires. The lease was for one year and was signed by the lessee. What recourse do I have to collect the last six months of rent that is due based on the length of the lease?

Your lease agreement controls you rights. You need to have it reviewed by an attorney. You may be able to sue for the rental due, but you also have an obligation to rerent the property and mitigate your damages
