Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

Living with raw sewage for 8 months

We were just informed that our plumbing would not be fixed and rent is already due.We have not received a written offer from the landlord as of yet regarding ending our lease. When is withholding rent appropriate? It hardly seems fair to have to pay my rent in full, and I don't have the money to move right now.

Withholding rent is never legal in Florida. If you withhold rent, you can be evicted.
