Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

My parents just both passed away and left all assets to myself and my 2 sisters. My house was bought in full by my dad and he has it in his will as his asset. So now I owe 1/3 of the house worth to both sisters but I have paid taxes on this house for over 20 years and paid for all its renovations and maintenance. Do I really owe them money or through the years did this house become legally mine?

Seek some legal guidance. It is necessary to see both wills and determine how the assets flow from one parent to another parent. You likely are entitled to a credit for the sums you paid for taxes, renovation, and maintenance and a rental charge would be imputed to you for the time you have had exclusive possession of the home as well. The question will be are the expenses more or less than the rental charges you would be responsible for as well. The house did not change ownership unless the owner transferred it to you along the way.
