Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

Our realtor rented our house without having the tenant complete the application nor do a background check. The tenant, as I am finding out, has multiple small claims suits and even a Federal Tax Lien. His family (5 kids, 4 dogs) are bringing down the house fast, lots of damage. They pay rent, but I'm going to need more than the security deposit to fix the place. Further, they have a lease/option to buy and they can't get financing. The lease is up at the end of February. Can I get my lease commission back from the realtor? I never would have rented to them had I known their history.

You may sue the realtor if he/she is not willing to refund your money or at least come to some sort of financial agreement. The realtor was negligent in securing a suitable tenant.
