Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

I have been waiting on a buyer to close on the purchase of my house for over 8 weeks. The deposit was only $2,500 as imtrusted him. Now I find out the title company and buyer lied - there was no money in escrow. Can I sue for breach of contract and emotional distress. I even extended the closing and the buyer could not get a loan.

Your contract controls the claims you can file. You cannot sue for emotional distress for a breach of contract claim. Seek legal advice asap.
